Ivey scores seventh World Series of Poker gold bracelet

Ten days after winning his sixth World Series of Poker gold bracelet, Phil Ivey collected No. 7 and moved into a tie for sixth place on the tournament’s all-time individual event title list.

Ivey, from Las Vegas, won the $2,500 buy-in Omaha High-Low Split / Seven-Card Stud High-Low Split event. Ivey collected $220,538 for first place.

With the victory, Ivey tied Billy Baxter with seven individual World Series of Poker individual titles. Ahead of Ivey are Phil Hellmuth (11 wins), Doyle Brunson (10 wins), Johnny Chan (10 wins), Johnny Moss (nine wins), and Erik Seidel (eight wins).

According to official records, Ivey now has seven wins, 19 final table appearances, and 33 cashes at the World Series of Poker. He has more than $3.4 million in career winnings.

Ivey won three individual event titles at the 2002 World Series of Poker. Surprisingly, none of Ivey’s seven bracelets have been won in a hold’em game.
