This year marks KB Home’s 20th year of homebuilding in the Las Vegas Valley.
“A lot has changed about the new-home industry and KB Home over the past 20 years,” said Rob McGibney, president of KB Home’s Las Vegas division. “For example, our homes have become more energy efficient, using built-in technology to help keep energy bills low for our homeowners.
“Home shoppers are connecting with us online, exploring our communities with the click of a button from practically anywhere with Internet access.
“No matter how many years in the business, it’s still an awesome privilege to be able to deliver the American dream of homeownership to so many Las Vegans,” he said.
The 55-year-old Los Angeles-based company has planned at least six local new-home neighborhoods to open this summer.
Brighton and Cambridge will open in Providence, a master-planned community in northwestern Las Vegas.
Brighton offers two-story single-family homes ranging from 1,768 to 2,874 square feet with as many as six bedrooms and three baths.
Floor plans available at Cambridge range from 1,520 to 1,930 square feet.
KB Home plans to unveil four new neighborhoods in August. One- and two-story homes measuring 2,379 and 4,343 square feet will be offered at Salerno Estates and Treviso Estates in Henderson. Valera Terrace and Fairfield will open in southern Las Vegas.
KB Home is known for its signature Built to Order process that allows homebuyers to personalize their homes. Buyers also can select flooring, cabinets and lighting at the KB Home Studio, a retail-like design center.
All of KB’s new homes in Las Vegas are Energy Star-certified and built to Nevada’s Energy Star Plus standards. Built-in features like radiant-barrier roofing, low-e windows and Energy Star appliances all help contribute to lowering the utility bills associated with homeownership, McGibney said.
