Last weekend for Lennar’s ‘Hush Hush’ sale

Lennar has announced that this weekend is the final opportunity for buyers to take advantage of its Hush, Hush Secret Sale.

More than 30 families have already benefited from the sale that offers special interest rates through the builder's lender, Universal American Mortgage Co.

"These deals are truly the best we've seen and our 30 new homeowners are proof of that," said Jamiel Rashdan, new-home consultant. "By combining recently reduced prices with incentives and below-market interest rates we've been able to get our homeowners a monthly payment for less than what they were paying in rent."

Lennar and UAMC are currently offering a rate of 3.75 percent (4.146 percent APR) and are also locking in this interest rate through November, according to Rashdan.

Locks are convenient to homebuyers who may need an extra month or two to get out of their current living situation, or may need to wait to close escrow on their new home.

"The interest rates that we offer through UAMC are next to unbeatable," Rashdan said.

Lennar is now offering homebuyers the opportunity to choose interests rates of 1.875 percent in year one, 2.875 percent in year two, and a 3.875 percent (4.622 percent APR) for the rest of their 30-year loan, according to Rashdan. Lennar will be covering the cost of the interest rate lock as well as closing costs, he added.

Lennar's buyers have also said that the included features are a big bonus.

"Our goal is to help homebuyers save time, money and headaches by eliminating the need for upgrades and remodeling because we already include the best upgraded features as standard. All you have to do is move in."
