Lexus dealerships support The Shade Tree Gift Of Holiday Hope campaign

Lexus of Henderson and Lexus of Las Vegas are serving as community donation drop-off stations for The Shade Tree’s inaugural Gift of Holiday Hope drive to collect new and unwrapped toys for sheltered children from ages newborn to 18 years old.

Items may be dropped off at both dealerships through Dec. 19, and also at 12 Massage Envy Spa locations.

The Shade Tree provides shelter to homeless and abused women and children in crisis and offers life-changing services promoting stability, dignity and self-reliance. Holidays are difficult for these struggling families, especially for those who had to leave their homes to escape violence, said Erica Thompson, The Shade Tree’s fundraising and major gifts director.

More than 300 women and children call The Shade Tree home, and the shelter expects this number to increase, Thompson added.

The Shade Tree is also requesting donations of new, unwrapped pajamas, purses and slippers for the mothers and single women.

“Lexus of Henderson is honored to be a corporate sponsor of The Shade Tree,” Lexus of Henderson General Manager Hosein Zand said.

“This charity has proven itself over the years to be a vital safe haven for abused women and children in crisis. Our Lexus family at both dealerships pledges its support to all the families sheltered at The Shade Tree.”
