Lincoln Mercury dealership moves to Valley Automall

An all-new Findlay Lincoln Mercury location in the Valley Automall opened April 1 and you might say that dealership General Manager Nathan Findlay has returned home.

"I have worked my entire career in the Valley Automall, so this was like coming home," said the 32-year-old Findlay, a third-generation member of the Findlay family to work in the car business. "I started working at this store when it was Saturn of Henderson while I was in high school in the early 1990s. I was a lot attendant, a detailer and sales consultant."

When Findlay Automotive Group purchased the Lincoln Mercury dealership in December of 2004, the dealership situated on East Sahara Avenue was past its prime. Moving to the Valley Automall was a definite step up, considering the sales success of the dealerships in the Henderson hub.

"This is going to help us better serve our customers," said Findlay. "You cannot beat the one-stop location and we're very happy to be here. And besides, our clientele lives, for the most part, in Henderson. This is so accessible because you can reach the dealership through the Auto Show Drive offramp."

The move also led to the creation of a top-flight team by combining Lincoln Mercury employees with former members of Saturn of Henderson.

"Keeping the best Saturn of Henderson employees was a big key since we can now help the customer have his or her vehicle transported to Findlay Chevrolet where the service or warranty work can be completed," continued Findlay. "The Saturn brand has been good to our group, the brand and our family and we will do whatever is necessary to help our customers."

Before Findlay Lincoln Mercury could be relocated, the Findlay Automotive Group revamped the building, which was built in the 1990s. The improvements included redoing the front of the building, adding all new furniture while repainting the inside, expanding the detail shop and adding four new lifts in the service department.

Among the dedicated employees who moved with Findlay from the old location to the Valley Automall were sales consultants Don Lewis, who has been with the company for 28 years; Jason Clouse and Jerome Aganon; Claude Chiles, a master technician with Ford who was promoted to service manager in the new store; sales manager Bahram Yahyavi; and finance manager Bobby Cleveland, who has been with Findlay Automotive Group for 12 years.

"We joined the best people of Saturn with the best people from our Lincoln Mercury store to create an all-star cast," Findlay said.

The top models available at the new store include the Lincoln MKT, a crossover powered by a twin turbo with a 355 horsepower engine and a platform power train; the Mercury Milan hybrid, which gets up to 40 miles per gallon; and the Mercury Mountaineer, an SUV now being offered at zero-percent, 72-month financing; as well as a selection of
preowned vehicles.

"My wife, Audra, drives the MKT and she loves it," Findlay says. "After driving the MKT, she would not be happy driving anything else. With four kids, our family fits comfortably in the MKT."

Findlay Lincoln Mercury is the top Lincoln Mercury dealership in the Phoenix region which includes Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico.
