Local pro wins World Series of Poker gold bracelet
Las Vegas had strong representation at the final table of the $1,500 buy-in H.O.R.S.E. tournament with a long-time local pro winning his first World Series of Poker gold bracelet.

Local professional poker player James Van Alstyne outlasted a field of 770 to capture the $247,033 first-place prize at the Rio.
The win comes 15 years after Van Alstyne first cashed in at a World Series of Poker event. He has six final table appearances in his career, including three this year. He was runner-up in another H.O.R.S.E. event this year.
He currently has $726,075 in career World Series of Poker winnings.
Las Vegas residents Bryan Micon finished fourth and Fabrice Soulier placed seventh.
Soulier has cashed five times at this year's World Series of Poker.
