This less-than-2-minute video gives a crazy perspective that one never really thinks about.

First, it takes us to the side of the moon that faces away from Earth. You can even see our humble little planet rotating itself in the background.

The second view puts the focus on the moon. Because of the angle and the sped-up animations, the Earth looks as though it’s dancing around its celestial neighbor.

The realistic graphic of the moon iwas made using the detailed maps of the moon created by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter that has been orbiting the moon since 2009.
