Man found with cocaine-stuffed tamales at airport

Ah, tamales… those perfect little Latin packages of corn and meat goodness. Turns out, airport security in Houston doesn’t like it when you fill your tamales with cocaine.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection found and seized about seven ounces of cocaine stuffed inside tamales from a passenger passing through George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Wednesday.

“According to the agency, a 46-year-old man was traveling from El Salvador to New York when officers found a box of 200 tamales inside his luggage. Nine bags of cocaine were found inside the tamales,” ABC News reports.

The man in question has been turned over to police custody.

This is why we can’t have nice things, guys.
