Moreno Valley helps couple celebrate

Some couples go out to dinner for their anniversary, others buy chocolate or roses, but Tracy and Jerome Coloma celebrated their first year of marriage in a bigger way. They bought a brand new home at Moreno Valley, a Richmond American community in northwestern Las Vegas. The couple moved into their new home in June and celebrated their anniversary just a few weeks later.

"This is a very special home to us," Tracy Coloma said. "It's our first house, and we thought it would be great to start the year fresh with a brand new home together. We got married one year ago this month."

"We'd actually been looking for a new home for a while," Jerome Coloma said. "I can't even tell you how many we saw. In the end, we chose Richmond American because we loved their floor plans and we knew they built quality homes."

The couple chose the Portola, a two-story home offering 1,800 square feet, three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a loft. A fourth bedroom is available in lieu of the loft. The Portola is priced from the $270,000s.

"We loved this plan and how well every square foot is utilized," he said. "Originally, we were only looking at homes with more than 2,000 square feet because we wanted something very spacious, but when we saw this model, the layout felt so open. We've seen larger homes that actually feel smaller than this home because of their floor plans. We could tell that a lot of thought was put into the design of our home. It has character."

"The master bath was another huge selling point," Tracy Coloma said. "It truly completed the grand master suite feel. It is so spacious, with split vanities, and it includes a large corner oval soaking tub. But we had a special request that the construction team was nice enough take care of. We purchased a huge Jacuzzi tub that they installed for us."
