MORNING LINE: Siddiqui’s connection to Carmen Electra

  Controversial Las Vegas high-roller “Omar” Siddiqui made no secret of his close friendship with actress and celebrity Carmen Electra, an informed Las Vegas source tells me.

  The Fry’s Electronics vice president of marketing is accused of defrauding company vendors out of $65 million he used to fund his gambling forays on the Strip and elsewhere.

  Siddiqui wasn’t above boasting, and during one conversation took a phone call from actress and professional celebrity Electra. Siddiqui left the definite impression the two were very close, the source recalls.

  Siddiqui’s love of fast cars and flashy women is well known. Previously published reports linked him romantically with a professional sports cheerleader, and his passion for Ferraris and high speed matches his reputation at the blackjack table, where he bet the House limit with both hands.

  Siddiqui was also a scratch golfer, one Las Vegas source says. Casino marketing personnel catered to his golf and green felt habits.

  These days, Electra is featured in People giving marriage advice. She’s also featured in a strip tease in Playboy.

  No stranger to Las Vegas, Electra has appeared here often in nightclubs on the professional party circuit and on a couple of occasions strutting down the wedding aisle.
