MUSIC: Virtual saxophone

We wouldn’t recommend showing up in person, but Las Vegans can at least take some pride of origin in Thursday’s Internet concert by smooth-jazz saxophone babe Mindi Abair.
It’s the latest Webcast put up by DeepRockDrive.com, which has been originating content from a small studio behind the Palms. Previous shows include the metal bands Chiodos and Kataclysm.
There’s only room in the studio for 50 or so people, so it will be mostly radio contest winners at the 6 p.m. show. But at least 5,000 cyber-viewers can sign up to watch Abair and even request songs online.
