New poll shows Reid in less trouble but still not enough support

A new poll of Nevadans shows Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., isn't in as much trouble as previous surveys, but he still doesn't have enough support to win if the election were today.

The poll of 600 likely voters shows Reid winning support from 40 percent of respondents compared to 45 percent for Republican Danny Tarkanian, just outside the margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points. Potential challenger Sue Lowden led Reid 44 to 41, within the margin of error. The poll also shows 36 percent of respondents had a favorable impression of Reid, 52 percent unfavorable and 12 percent no opinion.
