O’Malley, Sanders visiting Las Vegas on Sunday

Democratic presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Martin O'Malley will be in Las Vegas on Sunday.

Sanders, an independent U.S. senator from Vermont, will have a public rally at 7 p.m. Sunday at the soccer fields at Cheyenne Sports Complex, 3500 E. Cheyenne Ave., North Las Vegas.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Sunday for the free event. No tickets are required, but the public is encouraged to RSVP at https://go.berniesanders.com/page/event/detail/rally/4vjjg.

The venue rules forbid large bags, outside food, sharp objects, weapons, chairs and umbrellas.

O'Malley, a former governor of Maryland, is speaking Sunday afternoon at a forum on immigration at the LINQ Hotel. The two organizations planning the non-partisan event, the Fair Immigration Reform Movement (FIRM), and The Nation, say that all Republican and Democratic candidates for president were invited. The event is not open to the general public.

Sanders is speaking Monday at the forum.
