ECONOMY

The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance named Kristina Barry strategic initiatives coordinator. Barry provides assistance on various policy issues for the LVGEA, including its initiatives surrounding education, tech transfer, transportation, land use, unmanned aerial systems and workforce development.

EDUCATION

Jeff Breeden, partner at Stewart, Archibald & Barney LLP, was appointed to the Boulder City Library District’s board of trustees. Breeden will assist with setting policies, and hiring and evaluating a director; submit budgets and monitor finances; and monitor and evaluate the overall effectiveness of the library and advocating for the library in the community.

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE

Alison Murray and Justin Huntington of the Desert Research Institute were honored by the Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents for their research endeavors. Murray received the 2013 Nevada Regents’ Researcher Award while Huntington received the 2013 NSHE Rising Researcher Award.

FINANCE

Members Auto Brokerage, a subsidiary of Clark County Credit Union, appointed Roger Loftis to manager. Loftis has more than 20 years in the financial services industry, including more than 15 years in a management role.

Erika Gallegos of the security department at Clark County Credit Union received her Bank Secrecy Act Compliance certification. Gallegos has been with the company for nine years. This new certification makes her qualified to detect fraud in all areas of the credit union.

Barry Harrison was named senior vice president and senior lending officer of Meadows Bank. Harrison will be assisting local businesses, individuals and real estate firms with their loan and other financial needs. Harrison is a long-time Nevada banking professional who has lived and worked in Southern Nevada for the past 29 years.

MEDIA

Reggie Burton, a longtime member of the Southern Nevada Public Television board of directors, which raises funds for Vegas PBS, has been elected to serve on the 2014 National Friends of Public Broadcasting board of trustees.

REAL ESTATE

Premier Mortgage Lending, NMLS #393282, named Sean Corrigan production manager. The Las Vegas native brings more than 25 years of mortgage experience to the full-service, Las Vegas-based mortgage company.

RETAIL

Xyience, a leading sports nutrition company and maker of Xenergy, the official energy drink of the UFC, promoted Aimee Wenske to brand and social media manager.
