Palo Verde High School to host walk-a-thon for Colors of Lupus Nevada

Palo Verde High School and the Palo Verde Junior ROTC plan to host a recreation walk-a-thon called Step It Up for Lupus to benefit the nonprofit Colors of Lupus Nevada organization at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6. The school is at 333 S. Pavilion Center Drive.

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. All ages are welcome to walk at their own pace. Walking teams will design and wear their own T-shirts for the event.

Live entertainment is planned, along with activities for young children, including an appearance by Sonic the Hedgehog, couresty of Gameworks. Clark County School District School Board Chairwoman Teri Janison and Las Vegas City Councilman Steve Wolfson are scheduled to speak at the event.
