PETS: Readers send in photos of their animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to the View’s pets section. And, because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these extra faces, and remind you to check back each Tuesday for more photos of your best friends.

Bob Shumway of Las Vegas sent in this photo of his cat Baby Girl.

Ed Schine of Henderson submitted this photo of his English bulldog Kalohe.

“Here is a picture of my Aunt Mary’s Shih Tzus Molly and Mikie,” wrote Patty De Maggio of Henderson. “My nana named Molly. They just give you kisses all day long and love for you to get out the little flashlight and will follow it all day long! They light up her life and Uncle Kenny’s.”

“I’ve always had pets and presently have two cats and two dogs,” wrote John Michael and Abigail Gencarelli of Las Vegas. “However, ever since 3-month-old Yankee arrived, our cat Bailey thinks she’s the mom. Bailey washes, plays and follows Yankee all over the house. It is such a joy to watch these two together.”

Marlene and James Ayala of Las Vegas sent in this photo of their  German shepherd, Rex. “Rex acts more like a human than a dog because he uses his hands a lot and he is very nosy. He always wants to know what’s going on. He loves the attention and loves to play with anything. Rex is more than just a dog to us. He is like our only son!”
