Poll shows Sandoval up 11 on Reid

A poll conducted for Reuters shows Republican Brian Sandoval with an 11 percentage point lead over Democrat Rory Reid in the race for Nevada governor.

The poll of 600 registered voters interviewed July 30 to Aug. 1 showed 50 percent preferred Sandoval to 39 for Reid.

That's closer than the 19 percentage point lead Sandoval showed in a poll from Mason-Dixon Polling & Research for the Review-Journal and 8NewsNow.

The Mason-Dixon survey showed 50 percent of voters picked Sandoval and 31 chose Reid.

The average margin across several polls posted at the website RealClearPolitics.com is a 13.5 percentage point lead for Sandoval.
