President coming to town to raise cash for Reid

President Barack Obama will visit Las Vegas on May 26, sources say. He'll be headlining a fundraiser for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.

Reid faces what could be a tough reelection fight in 2010, though he doesn't yet have an opponent. Whoever does decide to take him on will face an extremely well funded campaign. Reid recently said he raised $2 million in the first quarter of this year; as of Dec. 31, he had more than $3 million on hand.

It will be Obama's first visit to Nevada since being elected. He last came to the state Nov. 1 for a rally in Henderson just a few days before the final vote.

It's not yet known whether the president will have a public event while he's here.
