Rainbow Company holding auditions for “Metamorphosis”

Rainbow Company Youth Theatre -- not just a children's playhouse but one of our finest local playhouses period -- is holding auditions for its April production of "Metamorphosis," as well as a spring-break drama workshop.

"Metamorphosis" is a highly regarded drama/comedy that takes a modern-day look at popular Greek myths.

Rainbow officials label the roles "challenging." They're hoping both adults and children aged 12 and older will give the try-outs a shot.

Auditions are scheduled for Feb. 19 at 1 p.m. at the Reed Whipple Center, at 821 N. Las Vegas Blvd. Production dates are April 1-10.

From April 18 through the 22nd, drama classes will be offered for children ages eight through 12 for $135. Class members will participate in a dramatic presentation at the Charleston Heights Arts Center April 23 (More info: 229-6553 or 229-6383).
