Rhodes Homes says buying at X-It is no more costly than paying rent
Renters across Southern Nevada are finding they can own their own home at X-It by Rhodes Homes for about the same price they're paying in rent, the builder said.
The most contemporary development built to date by Las Vegas-based Rhodes is offering incentives that make monthly mortgage payments nearly the same as average rent payments on similar size homes, said Ryan Soucie, director of sales for Rhodes Homes.
"Current average rental rates in the Las Vegas Valley are around $1 per square foot," Soucie said. "At X-It, residents are able to live in these truly unique three-story homes as an owner for a low monthly payment. Why throw your money away every month in rent when you could be putting that money towards your own home?"
X-It's newly announced promotion offers home buyers up to $50,000 in incentives that can be used towards the base price of the home, to buy down the interest rate or towards options and upgrades, he said.
"This incentive program is incredibly flexible," Soucie said. "Depending on their interests, new home buyers can choose what is most important to them. Whether it's upgraded flooring or lower monthly payments, they have more options than ever before."
With brightly colored buildings and bold contemporary architecture, X-It's three-story homes have proven popular among those who want a unique urban living environment, Soucie said. Residents enjoy a 2,400-square-foot clubhouse with multi-purpose recreation room, exercise room, full kitchen and lounge/media area. Outside, residents and their guests have use of a pool, spa and deck area.
Prices at X-It start in the high $200,000s. The three models are the Plan 1663, Plan 1690 and Plan 1759, named for their respective square footage. Each home is offered with a two-car garage on the first level, a second-floor terrace and walk-in closets.
Plan 1663 is offered with one bedroom, 21/2 baths, a hobby room and loft.
Plan 1690 is offered with two bedrooms, a den and 21/2 baths. Plan 1759 includes two bedrooms, 31/2 baths and a first-floor bonus room. Both of these plans feature a third-floor laundry room.
Standard features include kitchens with granite countertops, pantries and recessed lighting. The homes also include Moen faucets and pre-wiring in all rooms for surround sound, ceiling fans and cable.
Rhodes Homes has built more than 6,000 homes in the Las Vegas Valley during the past two decades and is currently developing 16 communities throughout the city.
To visit, take Interstate 215 to Tropicana Avenue. Head east on Tropicana to the community on the left. The sales office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
