Selected condominiums in Newport Lofts to be sold at auction Aug. 29

Some of the remaining new condominiums in the Newport Lofts downtown high-rise community will be sold at auction Aug. 29, by Chartwell Group Accelerated Marketing Division.

"As Newport Lofts enters its close-out phase, 20 of its remaining units will be sold during a highly anticipated auction with published reserve prices of up to 64 percent off previous prices.

This is a great opportunity for savvy home buyers seeking a new home in a luxury high-rise community with the prime location of downtown Las Vegas," said James Byczek, Chartwell Group. "Buyers will not only purchase a stylish open, luxury loft at Newport Lofts, they will also gain access to a one-of-a-kind luxury lifestyle."

Reserve prices for the luxury loft-style condominiums will start from $90,000 to $450,000, a decrease from recently published prices of $179,900 to $949,900. Two-thirds of the high rise's luxury homes have already been sold.

"Excellent financing is available to qualified purchasers at the Newport Lofts auction with 90 percent financing for owner-occupants and 80 percent for second-home buyers and investors," he said.

The special sales event will feature a range of loft-style designs: studios ranging from 912 to 1,062 square feet, one-bedroom, one-bath homes ranging from 1,052 to 1,073 square feet and two-bedroom, two-bath designs ranging from 1,418 to 1,654 square feet.

Penthouses with two bedrooms, two baths and ranging from 1,904 to 3,052 square feet will also be sold.

Tours of 30 available homes will be offered during a series of open houses, the first of which are planned this weekend. The open houses will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. The sales office will also be open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

To visit, take Charleston Boulevard to Las Vegas Boulevard, travel north and turn left on Hoover Avenue. The address is 200 Hoover Ave.

All residents of the 24-story Newport Lofts have access to private resort-style amenities located on its rooftop. SkyDeck offers 360-degree views of the Las Vegas Valley and offers a swimming pool and spa, a running track that spans the perimeter of the deck and outdoor gathering places.

Newport Lofts was one of the first completed residential high-rise projects as part of the renaissance of the downtown Las Vegas redevelopment. The community was recognized during Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman's State of the City Address in January 2008 with a Mayor's Urban Design Award in the category of "Buildings and Their Environs" for its design.
