Solar eclipse turns bright day to dark night — VIDEO

People from all over the world donned on their protective glasses to watch the solar eclipse Thursday.

But for those of us who couldn’t see the eclipse in person, luckily we have Youtube.

A timelapse video shot in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands, captures the town’s two minutes in complete darkness during the solar eclipse.

As the video fast fowards, you can see the clouds moving and cars driving by within the bustling town.

Then suddenly, the day begins to darken and eventually completely blacks out, as if it were the middle of the night.

Luckily for the people of Tórshavn, the blackout only lasted a few minutes and bright came right back.

For those of us living on the other side of the hemisphere, it’s a pretty surreal thing to watch.
