The Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd., recently opened its new Butterfly Habitat in the southern portion of the Botanical Gardens. The habitat is scheduled to feature hundreds of butterflies and a variety of plants, and it will be open each fall and spring, as temperatures permit. Butterfly species are set to include mourning cloak, red admiral, painted lady, American lady, monarch and queen. A separate entrance fee will be charged for the habitat, with members paying $2 and nonmembers paying $3.
