Summerlin welcomes Harmony Homes in The Mesa village

The master-planned community of Summerlin recently welcomed Harmony Homes to its existing list of homebuilders. Harmony Homes is offering three home designs at Ladera Terrace, located in The Mesa village. Floor plans range from 2,320 to 2,622 square feet and are priced starting in the $200,000s.

Select floor plans feature great rooms, duel master closets, game rooms, master bedroom retreats and home office space.

"Our floor plans are designed to enhance livability and convenience for a variety of lifestyles," said Geoff Gorman, vice president of sales for Harmony Homes.

"Harmony Homes offers affordable, quality and practical living environments for today's homebuyer."

Ladera Terrace is the final neighborhood selling in Ladera. KB Home and Richmond American Homes also built homes in the neighborhood, creating a mix of styles and sizes. Residents of Ladera share a private neighborhood park and pool area. Upon completion, Ladera will feature more than 600 homes.

Ladera is the first of many neighborhoods planned to open in Summerlin's newest and most southern village developed to date -- The Mesa.

The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin, began development on The Mesa village in 2004. In the past five years, hundreds of residents have moved to the village; Bishop Gorman High School opened a 35-acre, 187,000-square-foot Catholic college preparatory school and The Howard Hughes Corp. celebrated the opening of the community's 23rd major park, The Mesa Park.

The Mesa Park, located at Town Center Drive and Mesa Park Drive, encompasses 19 acres in the southern region of Summerlin. The park features two lighted tennis courts, three Little League baseball fields, concession building, tot lot, picnic ramadas and open play areas.

According to Kevin Orrock, top division executive for The Howard Hughes Corp., a house of worship and several additional neighborhoods will soon begin development in The Mesa village. "We're making exciting progress," he said. "Development in Summerlin continues to move toward our southern and western borders. We have several notable projects on the horizon and anticipate the remaining 9,000 acres of development to be among the best."
