TOWN ADVISORY BOARDS TO MEET
The Winchester Town Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. today at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive.
The Paradise Town Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. today at the Paradise Recreation and Community Services Center, 4775 S. McLeod Drive.
The Whitney Town Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Whitney Recreation Center, 5712 E. Missouri Ave.
The Sunrise Manor Town Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hollywood Recreation and Community Services Center, 1650 S. Hollywood Blvd.

NEVADA’S BIG GIVE
TO PUSH ONLINE GIVING APRIL 25
The second statewide online giving initiative, Nevada’s Big Give, is scheduled for April 25, and Nevada’s Big Give is encouraging local charities to sign up online.
To sign up, charities can visit nvbiggive.org by Monday and follow the instructions to register and create a homepage on the site. Charities that participated last year are automatically signed up.
Nevada’s Big Give urges participating nonprofits to encourage their supporters to donate on the giving day.
To further help meet charities’ fundraising goals, Nevada’s Big Give will hold professional development workshops for nonprofits.
WALGREENS COLLECTING FOR AFAN
Aid for AIDS of Nevada encourages Walgreens customers to shop for a cause and make a donation during checkout through Saturday. All donations made during this period will help raise money for AFAN’s largest annual fundraising event, the 23rd annual AIDS Walk Las Vegas, scheduled for April 14.
People of all ages are encouraged to participate in the walk. Registration is free, but a minimum donation of $50 per person is encouraged and includes an official AIDS Walk T-shirt.
