Tailback Bradford to grayshirt, miss season
UNLV was counting on Dionza Bradford to compete immediately for playing time at tailback, but he is expected to grayshirt and miss this football season. By grayshirting, Bradford can enroll in January and be considered a freshman next year.
Bradford's expected loss means freshman Tim Cornett almost certainly will receive playing time and maybe even compete to start. Cornett was a Rivals.com three-star recruit who averaged 10.3 yards per carry at North Shore High School in Galena Park, Texas.
Bradford also was a Rivals three-star prospect. He rushed for 1,347 yards and 17 touchdowns last season at Serrano High in Phelan, Calif.
