- The Groove Bros., Neil Maxa and Gary Hypes with Chris Gordan, Adelaide Robbins and Santo Savino, are scheduled to perform from 2 to 4 p.m. April 13 at the Bootlegger Bistro, 7700 Las Vegas Blvd. South. - The city of Henderson is scheduled to host its second Stroll ‘n Roll from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 12 along Paseo Verde Parkway from Green Valley Parkway to Valle Verde Drive. The street is scheduled to be shut down, allowing residents to stroll, walk, bike and play in the streets. Admission is free. Visit bikehenderson.org.
- The Way of Life, featuring the art of Ivan Milosevic, is scheduled to be on display at The Gallery in the Henderson Multigenerational Center, 250 S. Green Valley Parkway, April 14 through May 16. Milosevic paints detailed Native American portraits and images that depict strong characters and a warrior’s way of life. His work is inspired by a reverence for Mother Earth. Originally from Eastern Europe, Milosevic holds a master’s degree in architecture and also attended art college. He is a resident of Las Vegas. The Way of Life is his first public exhibition.

A city of Henderson’s Spring Carnival and Egg Dive is scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. April 19 at the Whitney Ranch Recreation Center/Aquatic Complex, 1575 Galleria Drive. The underwater hunt is set to feature eggs up for grabs in the pool. The swimmer who finds the most (by age category) wins a prize. Swimmers are encouraged to bring baskets, and children younger than 8 and those who require life jackets must be supervised in the water by an an adult. Participation is $5 per person. The inaugural Spring Carnival is set to feature carnival games, bounce houses, face painting and refreshments. Participants may also have photos taken with a bunny mascot. Carnival admission is $3. - The Las Vegas Shakespeare Company is scheduled to present “Willy Wonka” at 7:30 p.m. April 11 and 12 and at 4 p.m. April 13 at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway. Tickets cost $10. Visit hendersonlive.com.
- More than 100 baskets constructed by the Las Vegas Paiute, Moapa Paiute, Chemehuevi, Shoshone and Panamint communities are set to be on display through May 31 for the Tribal Treasures: Regional Baskets and Their Collectors exhibit in the Heritage Gallery at the Clark County Museum, 1830 S. The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners in cooperation with the city of Henderson plans to offer free classes at Acacia Park’s Acacia Demonstration Garden, 50 Casa Del Fuego St., throughout April. Classes are set to be taught by Master Gardener instructors and begin at 9 a.m. On April 12, Trees, Trees and More Trees is set to be presented by Master Gardener Jeneane Young. - Starlight and Strings: Tango, a Friends of the Winchester benefit, is scheduled for April 11 at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 McLeod Drive. The event is slated to start at 6 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres, wine and live music in the Friends Desert Demonstration Garden. At 7 p.m., the event is scheduled to move into the theater for a tango concert featuring dancers Jordi Caballero, Ekaterina Fedosova, Carlos Barrionuevo and Mayte Valdes.
