Families are invited to the reopening of Grapevine Springs Neighborhood Park, 5280 Palm St. near Hacienda Avenue. Clark County Commissioner Mary Beth Scow is scheduled to host an event with games, snow cones and popcorn at noon Saturday. Grapevine Springs features playgrounds, shade structures, barbecues, a new restroom and a new three-run dog park. The park is the first Clark County-run park to be equipped with a new emergency call box, a 14-foot-tall box featuring a help button park users can push to report emergencies. The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada invites cyclists to register for the Downtown Soul Ride from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday.
