This is what lighting fireworks under ice looks like — VIDEO
The title of the video says it all: “meanwhile in Sweden, fishing with fireworks.”
It starts off seemingly innocent enough. Bottle rocket? Check. Adventurous and goofy friend? Check. Frozen lake? Okay, well that’s a new one.
And that’s when the fun starts.
Important to note, in no way do we condone this type of “fishing.”
The “friend” and uploader of the video, Nils Brenner, proceeds to use the end of a broom to break up some of the lake ice near the dock.
He then strategically places the bottle rocket and lights it. Just as the fuse is at its end, Brenner plunges the rocket just below the surface of the ice.
The bottle rocket pauses for a moment, as if contemplating its existence, then shoots several feet forward at a blinding speed.
Then watch as the rocket explodes causing ice, water and firework to reach for the skies and create an amazing spectacle.
