Turn the lights out on Cain’s campaign

Say goodbye to Herman Cain as a serious contender for president. As interesting as he may be, he'll not survive the sexual harassment changes now being leveled against the candidate. And while this latest bombshell is leveled by a GOP pollster who is doing work for rival Rick Perry, he is a respected figure among the GOP.

Of course, readers of this blog were treated to the most salient point of this "scandal" on Day One when I wrote that it is almost campaign malpractice for this kind of easily discoverable background item not to be known by the campaign and divulged first thing. If the Cain Crew had done that, he might survive this if — of course — his side of the deal is right. Now, I think he's toast. Too bad, too. As a  nonpolitician businessman, he was a good candidate to have in the mix.
