What did Obama do in Las Vegas for three days, play slots?

There is no doubt -- both the left and the right agree -- that Mitt Romney mopped the floor with Barack Obama in their first debate Wednesday.

Obama allegedly prepped for the debate in Las Vegas. After thinking back on his performance last night, you have to wonder what he did for those three days -- play slots? Golf? Watch reruns of "Get Smart"?

Obama hemmed and hawed on answers that should have been quick and direct. He missed opportunities to question several of Romney's assertions. Overall, Obama looked unprepared and, if we are to be honest, very unpresidential. His body language almost begged voters not to give him four more years of hell in the White House.

Romney meanwhile was crisp, detailed and spot on, responding to all of Obama's points and counterpoints. He even displayed a bit of humor, which is never bad in these kinds of formats.

This was a solid Romney win that should send shivers up the Obama campaign, not to mention folks like Shelley Berkley who are depending upon Obama coattails to give her boost for state Senate.

PS: One take-a-way from the debate should be that President Obama is very weak when he is not using a teleprompter. He's not quick on his feet and he doesn't seem to have a grasp of the facts.

PPS: Best tweet of the night goes to Dennis Miller who said that Obama better hope that ObamaCare covers a kicked ass.
