Woman says she was kicked out of Paisley concert for breastfeeding

San Diego woman Megan Christopherson, who was breastfeeding her child at a recent Brad Paisley concert, says she was kicked out of the show for performing her legal maternal right, USA Today reports.

“It’s illegal to be at a concert with my child,” Christopherson told police. “Do you know that security guards asked me to stop feeding my child?”

“This has nothing to do with the breastfeeding,” a police officer said. “We’re afraid of your child getting crushed and we’re afraid of your child’s eardrums getting hurt. That is borderline child endangerment.”

The woman argued that audience members were uncomfortable with her actions, so she was escorted from the premises.

She is pursuing legal action and seeking a formal apology.
