SPECIAL TO LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL

BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. — A pedestrian died early Sunday after being struck by a mini-van on the eastern edge of the city.

Lillian Quintana, 54, of Golden Valley, died at the scene of the 4:15 a.m. accident on state Route 68 near Landon Drive, said Emily Fromelt, Bullhead City police spokeswoman.

Quintana had been drinking and arguing with her husband inside a Laughlin casino before deciding to try to walk home, Fromelt said. Quintana made it about three miles from the casino when she apparently wandered into the path of an eastbound vehicle.

The driver was not injured and the 1995 Toyota Previa mini-van was slightly damaged in the collision, Fromelt said. She said investigators believe Quintana was at fault and that no citations will be issued.
