Woodside Homes to open 3 neighborhoods

Grand openings don't get any grander than this, according to officials at Woodside Homes, as the builder prepares to unveil three neighborhoods today.

Eleven model homes within the neighborhoods, all located in the master-planned community of Providence in the northwestern valley, will debut during today's grand opening celebration.

The festivities also will include cool treats from Fat Daddy's ice cream truck 11 a.m.-1 p.m., a chance to win an Apple iPad by visiting all three neighborhoods and $5,000 worth of extras for buyers who purchase a home during the grand opening weekend. There are restrictions on prizes. There are some restrictions, call 702-396-1894 for details.

The celebration will showcase the builder's Madison Creek, Brookstone II and Hearthstone II collections, along with the closeout of the final 15 homes at Somerset.

Madison Creek offers two-story detached homes ranging from 1,468 to 1,883 square feet.

The homes have two- or three-bedrooms and 2½ baths.

Floor plans are highlighted by kitchens, dining rooms and great rooms that join together to create family activity centers, and two plans offer a versatile loft that can be used as a home office or recreation space. Prices start at $124,990.

Priced from $165,990, Brookstone II has one- and two-story homes ranging from 1,619 to 2,624 square feet and have as many as four bedrooms, three baths, and two-car garages.

Design highlights include gourmet kitchen islands in every home and versatile bonus rooms in the two largest plans.

Hearthstone II has one- and two-story homes ranging from 1,949 to 3,131 square feet. Floor plans offer three or four bedrooms and 2½ baths, plus a two- or a three- car garage.

A gourmet island kitchen is the centerpiece of every home, and all of the two-story plans have a bonus room. Prices start at less than $200,000.

Home shoppers can double their chances of winning an Apple iPad by visiting Somerset, which will hold its own drawing.

This neighborhood features one- and two-story homes that range from 2,109 to 4,064 square feet and offer as many as six bedrooms and three baths.

Among the homes' amenities are gourmet island kitchens with granite countertops and a complete collection of built-in GE Profile appliances. The final homes at Somerset are priced from $219,990.

Homeowners in Providence have access to amenities such as parks, trails, new schools and more. For families with children, the first of two planned elementary schools, Henry and Evelyn Bozarth Elementary, is already open. The community also will have one middle school in addition to the nearby Centennial and Arbor View high schools.

To visit, exit the Las Vegas Beltway at Hualapai Way and drive north. Turn left on Farm Road and follow the signs to the Hearthstone II sales office.
