Wrangler is top value-holder
Kelley Blue Book has honored the 2009 Jeep Wrangler with its Best Resale Value award in the popular sport utility vehicle segment, and Chapman Chrysler Jeep is thrilled to be the top-selling Jeep Wrangler dealership in Nevada.
The authoritative auto guide credited the Wrangler with having "one of the most iconic, uniquely American shapes in the automotive world."
"Our Wrangler buyers are very passionate about their Jeeps because no other vehicle looks or performs off-road the way it does," said Nick Banker, general manager of Chapman Chrysler Jeep. "The fact that we've seen a steady projected five-year retained value of 45.2 percent only makes them that much more attractive."
Jim Schmidt of Las Vegas is one of many die-hard fans of Jeep Wranglers in Southern Nevada. In fact, he and his son have purchased three Wranglers from Chapman over the last four years.
"For me, it's all about having the freedom and ability to explore things," Schmidt said. "I grew up a Midwest kid and always considered myself a Daniel Boone type at heart. In my Wrangler, I've been able to discover beautiful and fun (Southern Nevada) locations like Eldorado Valley, Goodsprings, Mount Potosi, Mojave Road and Logandale, to name a few."
Schmidt is one of the founding members of the Desert Wranglers, a group of enthusiasts sponsored by Chapman Chrysler Jeep. The group meets regularly for trail outings to provide a safe and exciting opportunity for novice Wrangler owners to fully enjoy their Jeeps with safety in mind.
"If you have a Jeep Wrangler and you want to get it dirty, you're in," said Jeffery Porter, the sales executive at Chapman responsible for creating and coordinating the Desert Wranglers.
The Wrangler has steadily built a loyal following since its historic military ancestor first appeared in early 1941 during World War II. Willys-Overland introduced the vehicle and demonstrated its off-road capability by having it drive up the steps of the United States Capitol.
The two-door Jeep Wrangler remains true to its heritage as the original, extreme-fun and freedom machine and is the only 4x4 convertible with multiple open-air options. The popularity of the Jeep Wrangler has never waned and is perennially a best-seller for the brand.
The Wrangler Unlimited is the only four-door convertible SUV on the market with room for five adult passengers and is popular with customers who always wanted a Jeep Wrangler, but also need extra space and versatility.
Schmidt says he appreciates the service that Chapman Chrysler Jeep provided to him after the sale was made. On two separate occasions, he feels they went above and beyond in diagnosing and repairing potential problems.
