Career fair planned for Las Vegas veterans

A career fair for military veterans will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday at the University of Las Vegas, Nevada student union building.

Employers from the Las Vegas Valley will be on campus for workshops on how to apply for a federal job and find careers in law enforcement. The event also includes workshops on how to write a resume, polish interview skills, search for jobs and access veterans services.

The career fair is sponsored by the office of U.S. Harry Reid, D-Nev., UNLV’s offices of Career Services, Veterans Services, Government Affairs and Diversity Initiatives; USAA; MGM Resorts International and the American Red Cross.

Veterans can pre-register by sending an email to: Veteran_CareerFair@reid.senate.gov.

Employers can register through UNLV Career Services at http://hirearebel.unlv.edu/events.html.
