Coroner identifies fatal crash victim
The motorcyclist who died Sunday in a west valley collision has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.
Just after 3 p.m., James Cuccia, 21, crashed into a pickup that was turning left from southbound Rampart Boulevard onto eastbound Point Conception Drive, Las Vegas police said.
Cuccia’s Suzuki hit the passenger side of the truck and both vehicles slid a ways before stopping, police said. Cuccia died at the scene. The 44-year-old truck driver was not injured and remained at the intersection, which was closed for several hours while police investigated.
The official cause of death from the coroner’s office was multiple blunt-force injuries from the collision. The crash was ruled an accident.
