Jimmy Buffett out of hospital after falling off stage

SYDNEY — Singer Jimmy Buffett left a hospital today, a day after he fell off a stage at the end of a Sydney concert and was knocked unconscious, Australian television reported. Medical staff said the singer had suffered a head injury, but added he was in good spirits and lucky to have recovered so quickly from the fall Wednesday night.

Escaped con planned suicide-by-bear

KINGMAN, Ariz. — A convicted killer who escaped from an Arizona prison planned to commit suicide-by-bear in Montana. “He had planned to go up in the mountains and shoot a gram of heroin and be bear food,” authorities said.
