In defense of earmarks

For the record, here's Sen. Harry Reid's defense of earmarks. Personally, I don't think President Obama has the willpower to follow-through on his no-earmark promise. He promised it on the campaign trail and last year. But he didn't do it.

I'm betting Sen. Reid is right -- this pledge is going the way of the "I'll close Gitmo" pledge.
