Officials reach deal to manage wild horses

RENO — Federal land managers have signed agreements designed to improve the management of wild horses and burros in a large swath of land around where Nevada, California and Oregon meet.

Supporters aim to save ranch from budget ax

GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — Supporters are hoping to save a historic Northern Nevada ranch home that became one of the newest additions to the state park system within the last decade from closure for budget reasons.
