Fiore claims compliance with IRS over tax liens

Assembly Taxation Chairwoman Michele Fiore, a lightning rod in a GOP power struggle, said Tuesday that she is “100 percent” in compliance with the IRS over almost $200,000 in tax liens, which is far less than an estimated $1 million in liens listed by the federal agency. But the Las Vegas assemblywoman declined to provide proof of her claims, citing an ongoing investigation of her former bookkeeper, whom she did not name.
