Man breaks into Taco Bell, stabs employee, then self

HILLSBORO, Ore. — Employees at a Taco Bell in Hillsboro, Oregon, barricaded themselves in the back room and called 911 after an armed man forced his way into the eatery after it had closed for the night.

KOIN reports that police were called to the restaurant around 2:40 a.m. Friday after the man barged in. An employee was stabbed in the wrist after confronting the man.

When police arrived, the suspect was in the walk-in freezer. He had stabbed himself several times, police said. He was Tased and taken into custody.

Both the victim and the suspect were taken to an area hospital for treatment of stab wounds but are both expected to recover.
