Two people were injured after a Metropolitan Police Department patrol car was involved in a three-car crash in the southwest valley on Monday night.

Metro Lt. David Gordon said two people, including the driver of the patrol car, were hospitalized with nonlife-threatening injuries after the crash, which happened at about 7:20 p.m. at Roy Horn Way and Sunset Road.

Earlier in the evening, Metro Lt. Jeff Stuart had said there were four cars involved in the crash.

It wasn’t immediately clear who was at fault.

Gordon said Sunset will be closed at Roy Horn until about 1 a.m. Tuesday. No further information was immediately released.
