On Saturday, participants walked the 1.2-mile distance from the Review-Journal building on 1111 Bonanza Road in downtown Las Vegas to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission and back during the fourth annual Walk a Mile in My Shoes event. It benefits those trying to survive on the streets of Las Vegas and is sponsored by the Las Vegas Rescue Mission and the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The event accepted cash pledges and donations of new and gently used shoes and socks.
