In todays installment of Why Ballplayers Don‘t Care That Much for the Media Anymore comes this story from NBCsports.com.

The headline reads: "Watch DeMarcus Cousins refuse to sign an autograph for a Warriors fan."

Sounds pretty negative, right?

Now watch the video. Cousins is just messin‘ with the Warriors‘ fan. But not in the way he usually messes with Kings coach George Karl. (The two don‘t see eye to eye on a lot of things).

Although the writer pointed out the levity, and mentioned how Cousins messing with the Warriors‘ fan actually made the autograph experience more personal, the headline just makes Cousins seem like a bad guy.
