4 students taken to hospital after school bus crash

Four Clark County School District students were hospitalized after the school bus they were in and a pickup collided Tuesday morning in the northwest valley, according to Las Vegas Fire and Rescue.

Initially the fire department said the 52 students in the bus were not injured. Later the department said four were taken to the hospital, two by ambulance and two by their parents, after complaining of pain.

The pickup driver was taken to an area hospital, fire department spokesman Tim Szymanski said.

Officers were called to the crash near Farm Road and Nido Street at about 7:30 a.m., Las Vegas police said.

Information of what school the students were headed to was not immediately available.
