‘System error’ from NV Energy cited for erroneously listing 75K customers without power

An NV Energy spokesperson cited a “system error” that erroneously listed 75,000 customers without service Wednesday.

“NV Energy experienced a system error that showed a large outage in southern Nevada on the company’s outage map,” Meghin Delaney, media relations manager, said in an emailed statement. “No such outage occurred.

“Our team is investigating the cause of the error but power is operating as normal.”
