Motorcyclist, 34, killed after multi-vehicle crash in southwest Las Vegas

A 34-year-old motorcyclist was killed after a multi-vehicle crash Monday night in the southwest Las Vegas Valley, according to authorities.

The Metropolitan Police Department said the crash occurred at approximately 7:09 p.m. Monday on Blue Diamond Road, west of Orduno Street.

According to police, evidence at the scene indicated a 2023 BMW K 1600 motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Blue Diamond Road in the right of two eastbound travel lanes. A crash occurred when the front of the BMW struck the left rear of a 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class traveling eastbound on Blue Diamond.

According to police, the impact caused major damage to both vehicles.

The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and came to rest in the westbound travel lanes, where a westbound 2004 Ford Explorer then struck him, police said.

Authorities said that the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Mercedes-Benz reported she sustained minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to University Medical Center, while the driver of the Ford reported he sustained minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Siena Campus.

The motorcyclist’s death marked the 14th traffic-related death in Las Vegas police’s jurisdiction for 2025.
