Former Iraq war soldier gifted home in North Las Vegas

Wounded warrior Jesse Daunis, 41, held his 3-year-old daughter, Aaliyah, after receiving the keys to a North Las Vegas home from Wells Fargo and Operation Homefront representatives on Tuesday.

The retired Army platoon sergeant suffered leg, shoulder and brain injuries in a 2009 explosion in Iraq.

“This is the first home I’ve had. My family is very excited,” said Daunis, who has lived in the Las Vegas Valley since 2013 with his wife, Carmen, and three daughters.
