Ex-Station Casinos manager pleads guilty to tax evasion

A former Station Casinos manager pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to evading roughly $350,000 in taxes.

Anthony Cirulli, 74, a former production manager in the company’s corporate advertising department, acknowledged in his plea agreement that he hid income he earned in 2007.

He concealed the money from the IRS in bank accounts he set up for phony businesses, the agreement says.

Cirulli, who worked for Station Casinos between 2005 and 2008, oversaw printing contracts for the company. He is alleged to have solicited kickbacks from the printers.

In 2009, Cirulli and his wife, Pamela, pleaded guilty in state court to charges of theft from Station Casinos stemming from dealings with a printing company, court records show. Both were placed on probation.

According to his federal plea agreement, Anthony Cirulli will pay full restitution to the IRS.

Cirulli, who is free on his own recognizance, is to be sentenced in December by Chief U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro.
